| 51 of 53 people found the following review helpful  initial impressions Cyberpower brg1500avrlcd, Verified Purchase This review is from: CyberPower BRG1500AVRLCD UPS 1500VA/900W 12 Outlets AVR LCD USB Ports Mini Tower (Electronics) before i get to the actual product, i want to mention that amazon did a terrible job of packaging this 25lb product. the box had one piece of tape on it and was broke open on arrival. the manufacturer packaging however was not damaged and their packaging of the product is excellent. now to my initial impressions of the cyberpower brg1500avrlcd. setup is a breeze. make sure to plug the supplied usb cable from the brg1500 to your computer and go to the cyberpower website to download the monitoring software. the build quality is excellent for a product with all these features at this price point. although i have not yet killed power to the unit to test the duration of the extended run time after a power failure, the software is showing 74 minutes(based on the current load). my guess is that in reality i might get 15 to 20 minutes to finish what i am doing or just let the unit save my work and shut itself down. there are lots of connections for your equipment although the spacing of most... I've got all of my network and AV equipment plugged in to it: a 47" Vizio LED TV, Sony sound bar, PS4, Wii U, cable modem, router, and PoE injector. Everything I have on it works fine in both line and battery mode. Under the highest load configuration I'm likely to use (network plus TV, sound bar, and PS4) the display claims it should get about 15 minutes of run time. It claims 45 minutes for just the TV, sound bar, and a Chromecast and 350 minutes for just the network equipment. I didn't leave it unplugged long enough to determine how accurate those claims are.I have my cable modem hooked up through the coax surge protector, which seems to be working fine with no impact on performance. I attempted to connect the Ethernet drop from my main switch through the network surge protector, but it seems to do its job too well. It works fine if I put it between the PoE injector and router, but if I put it on the powered side of the injector... The CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series BRG1500AVRLCD uninterruptible power supply (UPS) safeguards PCs and other electronics (monitors, cable DSL/ modems, VoIP routers, and home theater devices) from blackouts, brownouts, surges, spikes, sags, and other power abnormalities. Its Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) boost/buck technology delivers a consistent and clean AC power, protecting connected equipment and preventing costly business interruptions. Two (2) 5Vdc USB 2.1A charging ports provide charging power for portable devices such as tablets, mobile phones, MP3 players, and cameras. This UPS system is ENERGY STAR qualified with patented Green Power UPS Bypass circuitry to save on energy costs by reducing energy consumption and heat buildup.
